About me

My Mission

As an editor, my mission is to guide writers to success and to help writers achieve their best work. I find pleasure in leading writers to see their work in new ways, and I love showing them what they didn’t know they could achieve. I believe in collaboration and flexibility in editing projects, and my goal is to get your work to a place you never thought possible.

I’m a freelance editor and writer with a decade's experience in editing and writing instruction. My areas of specialty include professional work in academic publishing (humanities and education fields), education publishing, web publishing, and nonfiction manuscript editing for self-published authors and independent presses. I'm a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, and you can check out my profile their, which breaks down my specialties.

I also maintain the blog Critical Margins.

When I’m not working, I like to cycle, run, and play guitar. I have a passion for reading, and you can see that passion at Critical Margins and on my Goodreads page.

I live in Davenport, Florida, with my wife Katie and our two kids, Connor and Willa. We love to take weekend trips to the beach and enjoy the Florida sun when we can!
